SmCity is a Washington, D.C.-raised hip-hop artist and founder of Twenty20², now based in New York City. His music brings political commentary and personal storytelling together across a catalog that includes Empire Falls and New History.
His work features production from Oddisee, Kev Brown, Statik Selektah, Harry Fraud, Cookin Soul, and !llmind, alongside collaborations with BJ The Chicago Kid, The Last Poets, Planet Asia, Skyzoo, and Mumu Fresh. His music has received coverage from The Washington Post, Vibe, Okayplayer, and HipHopDX.
Beyond the records, SmCity built The Indie Life concert series, booking Kendrick Lamar’s first New York headline show and hosting annual SXSW showcases.
